Description

The leading mezzo-soprano of our time, Anita Rachvelishvili, visited Greece for the second time by invitation of the Greek National Opera and presented an unforgettable recital at the imposing archaeological site of the Roman Agora of Athens on 18 July 2020. The recital, presented as part of the Ministry of Culture and Sport’s programme “All of Greece, one culture”, with the GNO Orchestra conducted by Lukas Karytinos, was broadcast live online and watched by more than 1,100,000 viewers across the world. The production, recording and broadcasting were made possible thanks to the grant from the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) for the enhancement of the Greek National Opera’s artistic outreach.
