Description
The musical performance At St. Luke's Monastery is inspired by the poem of the same name by Angelos Sikelianos and the poem Christ Has Risen by Michalis Ganas. In an effort to emphasize the poets' deep religious feeling and spiritual quest through music, the performance follows the structure of Sikelianos' poem and presents the various scenes through a combination of music, recitation and theatrical action. The final scene is the poem by Michalis Ganas, which creates a dialogue between two different poetic worlds. The performance ends with a scene filled with light and music, symbolizing the victory of life over pain and death.The funding body of the project is the Ministry of Culture, within the framework of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan "Greece 2.0" with funding from the European Union - NextGeneration EU.
